Noblechairs is a Berlin-based German manufacturer that specializes in executive and professional computer chairs and premium gaming furniture. On June 29th, 2018, Noblechairs released the HERO gaming chair, following the success of their EPIC and ICON series. We decided to test out a chair from the HERO series because it was advertised as a premium executive ergonomic chair with novel features. First, I want to talk about how well this gaming chair was put together.

Build Quality

Noblechairs HERO Front

The chair was packaged securely in a thick box with all the necessary hardware and directions included. There were many illustrations in the manual, and the steps were straightforward and simple to follow. We spent about 35 minutes on the assembly process.

Although we had some trouble screwing the chair’s back into place, putting it together was not difficult. Both of them had trouble fitting all the way in; one wouldn’t even get halfway. We were able to easily replace the recliner covers because we had a spare screw that was only about half as short. The good news is that Noblechairs has anticipated this kind of problem and includes a fix in the box, just in case.

The polyurethane (PU) leather on this version of the chair is 1.5 mm thick, while the top-grain leather covering on the real leather versions is 1.7 mm thick. However, the models covered in genuine leather are significantly more expensive than those covered in synthetic PU leather.

The PU leather is sturdy, firm, and long-lasting; it should not tear or wear away easily over time.

The steel used in the Noblechairs’ frame is 2 millimeters thick, making it significantly more robust than the 1 millimeter to 1.5 millimeter steel used in competing models.

The chair’s 5 x 60 mm nylon casters are coated with polyurethane, and the aluminum base can hold up to 150 kilograms (about 330 pounds). The chair’s wheels glided easily across both tiled and carpeted surfaces.

The overall construction quality was rated as superb.

Design

Noblechairs HERO Gaming Chair Side

The HERO gaming chair from Noblechairs is a hybrid between the sporty aesthetic of the EPIC series and the sophisticated lines of the ICON series.

Seating and backrests of both the PU faux leather and top-grain real leather variants feature elaborate diamond pattern stitching. Stitching comes in two colors for genuine leather models (black and red) and five colors for PU leather models (blue, red, white, gold, and black).

The branding on the chair, including the name and logo of Noblechairs, is quite understated and sophisticated.

This means that the Noblechairs HERO gaming chair can be used for more than just gaming—it’s also a comfortable addition to any office.

Overall, we thought this chair was very elegant and tasteful.

Comfort

Noblechairs HERO Seat

The backseat is 89 cm (35.04 inches) long. In contrast, it is 57 centimeters (22.44 inches) wide across the shoulders and 56 centimeters (22.05 inches) wide across the hips. Finally, the seat width is a generous 52 cm (20.47 inches). It’s spacious enough for people with larger-than-average frames, and it’s also friendly to those with smaller frames.

You can alter its height by a total of 8cm (3.15 inches). It’s possible that people who aren’t quite 5’6″ tall will need to purchase a shorter gas lift for Noblechairs in order to get their feet flat on the floor.

Memory foam lines the back of the headrest. Two pillows, one for the neck and one for the lower back, are included with the chair. There is a plush velvety material on the pillows. The lumbar pillow is filled with foam, while the neck pillow has a soft, squishy filling. The lumbar pillow goes on the seat behind the lower back, while the neck pillow has a strap to attach it to the headrest. The chair already has an adjustable lumbar support system, so the addition of a lumbar pillow seems unnecessary.

Noblechairs HERO Gaming Chair Review

Adjust the chair’s level of support by expanding or contracting the lower half of the backrest using the rotary dial on the side of the chair. This is, without a doubt, one of the chair’s most impressive qualities.

In contrast to less expensive chairs, which may use scraps of recycled foam, Noblechairs use only newly molded, cold-cured foam with a density of 55%. Despite initial concerns that the material might be too stiff, users report that it breaks in nicely after just a few weeks. The cold foam is supportive and keeps its form for a long time.

This is not the chair for you if you prefer to slouch while you work.

Although it doesn’t go as far back as some other chairs on the market, you can recline this one to 135 degrees, making it ideal for a quick nap. A tilt mechanism that allows the chair to rock back and forth can be locked and unlocked. The maximum angle that the rocking mechanism can achieve is 11 degrees. There is a knob on the base of the chair that can be turned to modify the rocking motion. You have the option of allowing the chair to swing back easily or keeping it relatively stiff.

Noblechairs HERO Armrests

The 4D armrests on this chair are also adjustable. The arm and elbow can be placed in a wide variety of positions thanks to these. They can be moved up and down, forward and backward, in and out, and turned side to side. For a more secure hold, the armrests are textured.

In addition, ventilation holes in the seat prevent the user from becoming overheated and sticky during use.

The Noblechairs HERO gaming chair, we can say without hesitation, is incredibly relaxing and supportive of your spine and neck.

Value For Money

Noblechairs HERO Close Up

The model made from synthetic PU leather costs 349.99 GBP, while the one made from genuine top-grain leather costs 579.95 GBP.

We think the chair’s features more than justify the price, which may seem high in comparison to other gaming chairs on the market. This product is unquestionably valuable.

Summary

The integrated lumbar support, customizable rocking mechanism, 135-degree adjustable backrest, firm, hard-wearing material, elegant design, ergonomic shape, 4D armrests, and so on combine to make the Noblechairs HERO gaming chair a worthwhile investment.

Anyone who spends a lot of time sitting at a desk or computer, whether for gaming, coding, writing, working, or anything else, should give the HERO gaming chair a try.
