Atlus’ notoriously tough Shin Megami Tensei series, Persona blends visual novel and dating sim features to deliver a gripping JPRG story that stresses player-choices.

It’s easy to spend over 100 hours on a single Persona game before you’ve seen everything because each entry invites you to go back and examine every narrative strand via New Game Plus.

You can find Persona 5 and Persona JRPGs like Persona for PlayStation 4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in our list of the top Persona-like games.

To ensure that we don’t overlook any of your favorites like Persona, be sure to keep an eye out for updates to this list in the future.

Dragon Quest XI

The following are the available platforms: Microsoft Windows, Sony PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch

Save 35% on DRAGON QUEST® XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age™ - Definitive Edition on Steam

With Dragon Quest XI, Square Enix’s latest JRPG, you play a young man who discovers the reincarnation of an ancient legendary hero and sets out to find him.

As with Joker’s introduction to Palaces in Persona 5, the hero sets out to discover the mysteries of his history in a group of adventurers.

The turn-based fighting in Dragon Quest XI has been improved in various ways, resulting in a more streamlined experience that is simple to learn but difficult to master.

It’s also packed with side quests, mini-games, and other content totaling around 100 hours of gameplay or more, depending on how you choose to play.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

The Nintendo Switch platform

Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the latest installment in the series, was released for the Nintendo Switch, bringing the game back to its platform roots.

You play a professor in one of three prestigious academies: the Black Eagles, the Blue Lions, or the Golden Deer.

Similar to Persona’s dynamic social sim component, Three Houses shifts between turn-based combat and the management of your students’ academic and training activities.

As a teacher, the game provides several opportunities to connect with your students both on and off the battlefield.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Linux/Macintosh are all supported platforms.

Trigger Happy Havoc is one of the best Dangonronpa games since it plays up the visual novel parts of Persona.

Students are confined at a school and forced to play a terrifying game devised by a pink bear who is out to get them.

One by one, the children are being assassinated, forcing you to look for clues, speak with important witnesses, and question suspects before you can draw any conclusions.

Correctly guessing who the murderer is allows the remainder of the class to “graduate,” however wrongly accusing someone results in everyone’s death.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

Wii U and Nintendo Switch

Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem were the inspiration for Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, but it ended up with a distinct tone and style that made it feel like its own thing.

As the leader of a group of modern-day teenagers, you are challenged with juggling dungeon-crawling and musical performances.

Persona-like companions, many of them are modeled on familiar Fire Emblem characters like Chrom, Tharja, and Virion from FE: Awakening are introduced in the game.

Although a Wii U version is available, the improved Switch port, which includes more songs, playable characters, and story content, will be the greatest way to experience it in 2022.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

The Nintendo Switch platform

As an open-world JRPG originally published on the Wii and later on the 3DS, Xenoblade Chronicles may be of interest to Persona enthusiasts.

Your role is that of Shulk, an up-and-coming hero who joins forces with other characters to take on an army of Mechon, an alien robot army.

Like Persona, the game has a bonding system that rewards Shulk for spending time with select NPCs, just like in Persona.

The game’s notoriously confusing quest tracking system has been simplified in the Definitive Edition, which we recommend purchasing.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel

PlayStation 4, Vita, and Nintendo Switch are all supported

This is the first in a new trilogy of RPGs for the PS3 and Vita that was launched in Japan first before heading to North America in 2020.

This is a time management game in which players take on the role of first-year students at a prominent military institution, where they must balance their academic and social obligations.

Your character can get new combat abilities by forging friendships with other players, just like in Persona.

In comparison to other RPGs, the Trails series does an excellent job of world-building and character development, something Persona fans will particularly love.

Valkyria Chronicles 4

The following are the available platforms: Microsoft Windows, Sony PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch

Valkyria Chronicles, a tactical RPG series similar to Persona, is a good option if you don’t like steampunk graphics.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 is an excellent place to start, as it takes place on a militaristic battlefield rather than in modern-day Tokyo as in Persona 5.

It’s extremely different from Persona in that there are two modes of combat instead of one, with the former allowing you to move forces across an overhead map while the latter lets you direct warriors on the ground.

There are some fascinating twists on turn-based combat techniques in the Valkyria series that keep things fresh and exciting while yet being challenging enough to keep you on your toes.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon

XBox One, XBox X/S, Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One

When it comes to the Yakuza series, you can expect the usual cast of over-the-top characters and jokes about subjects that other games would be afraid to touch.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon on Steam

Ichiban Kasuga, an outspoken member of the Yakuza, embarks on a quest to become a hero after he is betrayed by his previous boss in this game.

Traditional Yakuza gameplay is replaced by turn-based combat with RPG components and a party system reminiscent of Persona.

As he journeys through the game, Kasuga encounters a wide variety of eccentric personalities from all walks of life who will often send him on strange quests or volunteer to assist him in fight.

Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster

There are three platforms: Windows, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

Shin Megami Tensei games are popular with Persona fans, so chances are you’ve already played most or all of them at some point.

If you haven’t played SMT3: Nocturne in a while or haven’t had the chance to play the HD Remaster since it was released internationally in 2021, now is the perfect time.

In the wake of the Conception, an end-of-the-world catastrophe brought about by an enigmatic cult, the game follows a high school student in modern-day Tokyo as he transforms into a demonic Demi-fiend.

Nocturne, like Persona, contains a battle system built on taking advantage of your opponent’s weaknesses and enlisting the help of demons you meet along the way.

Catherine

There are three platforms: Windows, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

It’s no surprise that Persona fans will recognize Catherine, a puzzle-platformer/dating sim mix from Atlus.

You take on the role of Vincent, a 30-year-old systems engineer whose days are filled with socializing and dreams.

Before night falls and he needs to solve riddles that mirror his deepest fears and wants, you’ll connect with folks at the pub Vincent frequents.

For every action you take in the game, there are consequences, resulting in various different endings that encourage you to revisit the story.

Final Fantasy XV

PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation Vita are all supported platforms.

As with previous entries in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XV departs from the traditional structure in favor of a more real-time action-RPG approach to combat.

You play as a young guy who must rescue a mystical crystal that was taken from a temple in Eos, a mythical world modeled on our own.

As in Persona, you’re rewarded in a variety of ways for forming bonds with your allies, including the ability to access new abilities during battle.

Having a good time with your friends while exploring the great outdoors, roasting marshmallows around a campfire, and more can strengthen your bonds.

Tales of Berseria

Windows, PlayStation 4

As a young woman, you take on the role of a vengeful young woman who seeks revenge for the death of her brother in Tales of Berseria.

All of this stems from an ancient evil known as Daemonblight, which is a tangible manifestation of the negative emotions of the human race.

Linear Motion Battle System allows players to move characters and the camera around the arena during fight, unlike prior Tales games.

Shin Megami Tensei and Persona fans alike should check out the series, which has been around for roughly the same amount of time.

Tokyo Xanadu eX+

Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and the PlayStation Vita are all supported.

The PlayStation Vita version of Tokyo Xanadu was released in 2015, whereas the PS4 version, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, was released in 2016.

Persona-like, it takes place in a modern-day Tokyo high school, where teenagers are compelled to fight gangs of otherworldly foes.

Chapters are given to each character, and these chapters convey a piece of their story while also providing possibilities for them to form relationships with other characters throughout.

Additions to gameplay and story content are also included in the eX+ version’s new difficulty setting.

Ys: Memories of Celceta

Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and the PlayStation Vita are all supported.

The same team behind Tokyo Xanadu’s Ys: Memories Of Celceta created this game, which originally debuted on the PlayStation Vita before making its way to the Windows PC and PlayStation 4 platforms.

Adol Christin, a world-renowned adventurer, wakes up with amnesia in a mystery hamlet populated by people who claim to know him.

Adol sets out to explore the wilderness with the support of his newfound pals in an attempt to reclaim his memories.

In Memories of Celceta, you can use the items you collect in battle to manufacture new weapons that can be used in combat.

The World Ends with You: Final Remix

The Nintendo Switch platform

Cult classic action RPG The World Ends with You features a group of the dead who are given another chance at life by participating in the Reapers’ Games, which takes place in Shibuya, Japan.

You take on the role of one of the contestants, interacting with a diverse cast of personalities and forging bonds with your fellow competitors.

The World Ends With You Final Remix (SWITCH) cheap - Price of $19.59

Touch-screen inputs were initially intended to be used in combat, which allows you to combine attacks with other party members and boost their power through various music-based minigames.

2022 is an ideal time for gamers to play the improved Final Remix edition for Nintendo Switch, which has updated gameplay and visuals in anticipation of a future sequel.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

  • Published in 2019
  • Publisher: Atlus
  • Nintendo 3DS is the system used.

Persona Q 2 combines dungeon delving in the vein of Etrian Odyssey with Persona’s unique aesthetic. For fans of the series, this is a must-have title, since it brings together characters from episodes 3, 4, and 5 for co-op battles and tons of endearing dialogue.

Persona Q2 is an easy suggestion for P5 lovers if they felt a genuine connection to the P5 cast during a game.

Persona 3 and 4

  • Publication dates are as follows: 2007 and 2008.
  • Publisher: Atlus
  • PSP, PS Vita and PC are all supported platforms.

To put it plainly, Persona 3 and 4 are the closest you can go to playing as Persona 5. Persona 3 FES, P3P, and Persona 4 Golden all have director’s cut versions, just like P5’s Royal Edition in Persona 3 FES and P3P.

Two games launched in 2007 and 2009, P3 and P4 are based on the same concepts as P5R, which was released in 2012. Both books in the series are set in contemporary Japanese high schools, where the development of interpersonal relationships and character traits is a priority. In addition, the games have captivating and emotional tales that are both exciting and engrossing.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga

  • In 2005 and 2007, they were released.
  • Publisher: Atlus
  • PS2 is the system I use.

Mainline Shin Megami Tensei is more popular than it has been in a long time, and now is the best time to get in.

Digital Devil Saga stands apart from games like SMT IV and Nocturne because of its emphasis on character-driven storytelling, which will be familiar to Persona fans. DDS has a strong cast of characters, a tough and gratifying gameplay, and a sequel to further explore its unique tale.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc

  • Published in 2010
  • Created by: Spike
  • Playstation Portable, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch are all supported by this list of devices

Persona and Danganronpa are frequently cited in the same discourse on the internet since they share many similarities. If you appreciated Persona’s slice-of-life aspect more than its turn-based, demon-collecting combat, this high school murder mystery is for you.

Because there are so many games in the Danganronpia series to enjoy, there’s a lot of content to go around. In Danganronpa’s world, one might easily lose hours of their lives.

Tokyo Xanadu

  • Published in 2015
  • the Falcom company, the creators of the game.
  • PS Vita, PS4, and Personal Computer (PC)

The PlayStation Vita version of Tokyo Xanadu was launched in 2015, while the PlayStation 4 version, Tokyo Xanadu eX+, was released in 2017. Developers of Ys and The Legend of Heroes series, Nihon Falcom, created this game.

While Tokyo Xanadu lacks the depth and interpersonal relationship mechanisms of a Persona game, it does offer an interesting tale set in a modern-day Tokyo high school setting. Interdimensional dungeons must also be traversed in order to progress the story. Characters sparkle and the action-based combat is easy for newcomers to learn.

Xenoblade Chronicles

  • In 2012, 2015, and 2020
  • It was created by Monolith Soft
  • Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles, first released in 2012 for the Wii and New Nintendo 3DS, was updated and enhanced for the Nintendo Switch in 2020. As one of the best Japanese RPGs in recent years, it is widely recognized as one of the best. Development of Monolith Soft, the same team behind Xenogears and the Xenosaga series.

Open world RPG Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the best turn-based combat RPGs out there. Xenoblade’s bonding mechanism is based on increasing the protagonist’s affinity with the rest of the team. As a result, the player develops a friendship with these people over time.

Etrian Odyssey

  • The year this film was released was 2008.
  • Publisher: Atlus
  • DS handheld game console

Etrian Odyssey is a great alternative to Persona 5 if you’re searching for something a little more tough. For Persona aficionados, the dungeon-crawling gameplay in Persona Q will be familiar albeit with a little more difficult learner’s curve.

Etrian Odyssey™ IV: Legends of the Titan | Nintendo 3DS games | Games | Nintendo

Although the majority of Etrian Odyssey games allow players to create their own party members, the majority of the games have a predetermined cast. Persona fans who have spent many hours with the same characters may find this newfound freedom to be a welcome change of pace.

Bully

  • In 2006 and 2008, it was released
  • Rockstar Games is the studio behind the game.
  • Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Android and iOS

Bully is an action-adventure game set at a high school in the fictional town of Bullworth, developed by Rockstar North, the team behind the Grand Theft Auto series. Though it’s not an RPG, Bully has a lot to offer people who appreciate the social aspects of a school setting.

Remastered in 2008 for Xbox 360 after its initial release on PlayStation 2 in 2006. When Rockstar’s Bully came out, the media misinterpreted its satirical character, just like they did with GTA and other Rockstar games. At its core, Bully was an examination of growing up and dealing with the pressures of being a teenager in today’s highly stratified society.

Yakuza 0

  • Published in 2015
  • Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is the developer.
  • Platforms: PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Amazon Kindle

Yakuza 0 was initially released in 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and then in 2020 for the Xbox One and PC. Play as Kiryu Kazama and Goro Majima, two of the most powerful Yakuza bosses in Japan, in an open-world RPG.

Fans of the Persona series won’t be disappointed by the game’s 1980s Tokyo setting, which has little in common with the series’ combat or high school environment. Yakuza 0 also has sub-stories centered on developing friendships with the city’s many non-player characters (NPCs). However, Yakuza 0’s superb character development and sophisticated themes are where the game really excels. The series as a whole maintains this high standard of production value. Yakuza 0 is a great starting place for newbies because it is a precursor.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore

  • Published in 2015
  • Publisher: Atlus
  • Wii U and the Nintendo Switch are the only platforms supported.

Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem are two popular Japanese RPG series, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a spin-off that brings them together. Because it was created by Atlus, the game has a lot in common with the Persona series in terms of themes and locales to explore in contemporary Tokyo.

The tale isn’t as intricate or dark as the Persona series, and the story beats are often predictable. There are some Persona-inspired side storylines and interactions with the other characters. The gameplay principles and execution of the Fire Emblem characters, who appear as Mirages, are reminiscent of those seen in Persona.

Attack On Titan 2: Final Battle

  • Published in 2018
  • Creators: Omega Force
  • Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Stadia (a virtual reality platform).

On the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One, Attack on Titan 2 was released in 2018; on Google Stadia, it was released in 2019. Omega Force has created an action RPG based on the Attack on Titan television show and manga.

Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle, the game’s fourth expansion, was released in 2019 and includes the first three seasons on disc. Assault on Titan 2 is a fast paced action game in which the player needs to knock down huge titans who prey on people. While this is a departure from Atlus’ franchise, Persona aficionados will like the game’s connection and friendship-building aspects.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalpyse

  • After a year of development,
  • Publisher: Atlus
  • The 3DS is the platform.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse was released on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016 as an alternate version of the fourth game in the mainline series. It appears to be a new opportunity for Atlus to correct many of the game’s flaws, making Apocalypse an even better game than the original.

Apocalypse, despite having some ties to the original, is designed to be accessible to newcomers. The gameplay, demon hunting, and world-building take precedence over the story, therefore it’s less focused on character development than the Persona series. It’s still a great game for Persona lovers thanks to its fantastic storyline, narrative, and character development.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

  • Published in 2019
  • Intuitive Systems is the developer.
  • The Switch platform.

The Nintendo Switch exclusive Fire Emblem: Three Houses was released in 2019. Fire Emblem: Three Houses | Nintendo Switch games | Games | Nintendo

Additionally, Three Houses stresses the importance of socializing, forming connections, and forging bonds that have a direct impact on a character’s actions in combat.

The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel Series

  • Published in 2015
  • the Falcom company, the creators of the game.
  • PSVita, PS3, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC are all supported platforms.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel was the first in a new trilogy in the Trails arc when it was published in 2015 for PlayStation 3 and Vita. Trails of Cold Steel 2, 3, and 4 were released in 2016, 2019, and 2020, respectively, for the PlayStation 4 in 2019.

The player assumes the role of a new student in an exclusive military academy, Rean Swcharzer. Similar to Persona, the player’s time will be spent forming relationships, which will lead to additional combat abilities. The trails series has a level of world-building and character development that is unparalleled. The Trails in the Sky trilogy is particularly worth checking out because of the intricate narrative ties between the three books.

Neo: The World Ends With You

  • In 2021, it will be released.
  • the Square Enix team
  • Platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC

Neo: The World Ends With You is a sequel to the Nintendo DS original The World Ends With You, which was released in 2012. Despite several references to its predecessor, newcomers to the series can approach Neo without feeling lost. However, if you’re not turned off by the game’s age or touch screen features, the original is wonderful in its own right and well worth a look.

P5 aficionados will recognize the highly stylized atmosphere and themes revolving around high school students. The primary protagonists are anti-authoritarian, although the story isn’t quite as bleak. For Persona 5 fans, however, it’s an excellent alternative to the game’s visual style and gameplay.

Life Is Strange

  • Published in 2015
  • Dontnod Entertainment is the developer.
  • PC, OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android; PS3, PS4, and PS5; Xbox One; Xbox 360; Xbox One S; Xbox Series X/S; and PS3.

Life is Strange is an interactive murder mystery game with a non-linear plot that was originally released as an episodic series during 2015. The tale is shaped by the player’s decisions in the game, and the narrative shifts as a result.

Almost all of Life Is Strange takes place in a high school, and Max is the protagonist. Reversing time allows Max to find out who the serial killer in her community is, as well as handle school-related issues. Remastered versions of the first three games in the series will be released in February 2022.

Lost Judgment

  • In 2021, it will be released.
  • Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is the developer.
  • Xbox One and the Xbox X/S series are all supported on PS4 and PS5.

“Lost Judgment,” a spin-off from the Yakuza series, will be released in 2021. However, as a stand-alone game, it tells a compelling tale.

Lost Judgment sẽ phát hành vào tháng 9 này trên PS5 và Xbox Series X

Lost Judgment’s “School Stories” sub-quests will appeal to Persona 5 fans yearning for a high school atmosphere. With its own puzzles and storylines that deal with mature topics and sensitive issues, the School Stories are a distinct entity from the rest of the game, and they do so in unexpected ways.

Sentinels: Aegis Rim

  • The film will be released in 2020.
  • Vanillaware is the developer.
  • PlayStation 4

13 Sentinels is a surprise hit for 2020. In Aegis Rim, a visual novel and a real-time strategic RPG are mixed together. An intricate time-traveling scenario involving the lives of high school students from different eras is the focus of the story. The year is 1985, and Japan is under siege by gigantic creatures called Deimos.

Sentinels, massive robots that may be summoned and piloted by pupils, are at their disposal. Although the film Pacific Rim has a strong influence, the story is much more complex. 13 Sentinels is an excellent example of a JRPG or visual novel breaking its standard archetypes and cliches with some truly unexpected twists and turns. Persona lovers will enjoy it, but 13 Sentinels is the only game like it.

The Banner Saga

The Banner Saga was first released in 2014 as a tactical role-playing game. The game is set in a Viking civilization and features a wide range of characters that can be played. As a result of the game’s unique choice-based narrative, the story can be played a number of different ways.

Conflicts are a major part of this game, and the outcome of these battles can affect the story and how your character interacts with the rest of the universe. This game is worth checking out if, after finishing Persona, you’re looking for an RPG with a distinctive battle system.

Bravely Default

Bravely Default is a Nintendo 3DS role-playing game released in 2012. Because of its turn-based combat and career structure, Bravely Default will be familiar to fans of classic role-playing games like Ultima Online and Final Fantasy X.

Originally planned as a direct successor to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, this game has since evolved into something entirely new and distinct. The game takes place in Luxendarc, a world where the Crystal Orthodoxy protects precious elemental crystals in order to maintain Earth’s equilibrium.

I Am Setsuna

It was launched in 2016: I am Setsuna is an action-RPG. Anyone who has been a lifelong fan of the JRPG franchise will like the art style and new gameplay mechanics in this game.

After hostile demons descend on the area, a woman named Setsuna finds her homeland, her people, and even her own life in grave peril. Setsuna must summon all her courage to make a huge sacrifice in order to save her people.

Octopath Traveler

“HD-2D” RPG for the Nintendo Switch, Octopath Traveler. There are eight various routes that players can take, each of which follows a different character and their own unique goal. It is possible for players to play the game as either a single character or as part of a group of eight.

Like the Persona games, Octopath Traveler has a similar gameplay mechanic. Both games have turn-based fights and require players to learn the weaknesses of their enemies. Finding an enemy’s weak point in either game allows you to break their defenses and put them in a stunned or “downed” state, allowing you to deal greater damage to them.

Tales Of Berseria

Tales of Berseria is a game in the Tales series, one of many that are available. You play as Velvet, a woman out for blood after her younger brother was murdered.

Velvet, whose arm was possessed by the Daemonblight, becomes one of the world’s terrifying creations known as Daemons in Berseria.

Daemons appear in the universe in a similar way to Persona 3’s Persona 3: Fate/stay night. Human emotions give rise to shadows, and the majority of these emotions are negative. That which causes the Daemons is a result of the collective unpleasant feelings that humanity experiences.

Dragon Quest XI

To date, Dragon Quest XI has been one of the most popular video games in the franchise. Erdrea is a made-up world in which the game takes place.

After a weird luminous mark develops on his palm and allows him to call lightning, the protagonist discovers the truth about who he is. On his mission to find the truth, he meets others who join him, and they form a group to fight evil together.

It uses a turn-based battle system similar to the Persona series. Additionally, players can swap out different members of the active group, exactly like in Persona 3.

Ys Memories Of Celceta

PSVita-exclusive action role-playing game Ys: Memories of Celceta. Adol Christin, the protagonist from the previous Ys games, returns in this, the third canonical Ys IV game.

Adol lands in a town with amnesia between Ys II and The Oath of Felghana. While playing the game, he comes across a number of people who claim to know him.

Ys: Memories of Celceta

Crafting weapons and armor from materials gained in battle is comparable to Persona’s crafting system, which influences characters’ abilities and attributes.

Shenmue Series

Ryo Hazuki, a Japanese teen martial artist, is the focus of Shenmue. Ryo vows to exact vengeance on the killer of his father. In addition, he’s curious about the meaning of a phoenix mirror his father has stashed away.

There are persistent open environments in the Shenmu and Persona series, notably Persona 4 and 5. It is possible for players to embark on explorations outside of combat and the storyline. The in-game clock dictates the pace of play for each character. Both shows provide a lot of attention to the details of everyday life.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Play as either a male or female Blythe and become a professor at Garreg Mach in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Five years later, the world is on the brink of war, and the action in the game is accelerated accordingly.

There are similarities between Three Houses and Persona games, however instead of being students, players assume the role of teachers. In both series, players are encouraged to form bonds with their characters. If they have an S-rank Support or have maxed out their social link, you can even romance some of them.

The World Ends With You

The Reapers’ Game takes place in a fictional Shibuya, and the chosen dead take part in it. As a result of winning, the winner receives the right to return from the dead or rise in spirituality. It follows Neku as he takes part in the events and tries to recollect the circumstances behind his death in order to complete the game.

The protagonists in both The World Ends With You and the Persona series begin as introverts, but through the people they encounter and the ties they form, they become more extroverted.

Fire Emblem: 3 Houses, Yakuza, and other wonderful titles in the same style as Persona 5 Royal should be enjoyed by fans.

Is Persona 5 the best game ever?
