What a waste of time and money you’ve had trying to make a fortune from the Stalk Market in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, haven’t you? Want to get out of Tom Nook’s debt disaster with Tom Nook?

There is no doubt that the Stalk Market is an amazing – and picky – method for quickly becoming wealthy. However, New Horizons offers some unique ways to make this chance work even more in your favor financially.

What’s new with the Stalk Market?

Buying and selling turnips can be done in every Animal Crossing game. It was Joan’s turnip bounty in prior rounds that drew the most attention. However, her granddaughter, Daisy Mae, has taken over the position.

Turnip prices and the Stalk Market in Animal Crossing, explained - Polygon

From 5 a.m. to noon every Sunday, Daisy Mae will be roaming your island selling her items in bundles of ten – for unlimited quantities, if you can afford it. As of this writing, the price of a turnip can range from 90 Bells to 110 Bells per turnip.

Turnips and your investment will rot if you don’t unload your stock by Sunday of the next week, as is customary. So, of course, don’t commit any time crimes once you’ve purchased your time machine.

The turnips can be purchased in the island’s shop for a price ranging from 15 to 800 Bells per pound (but generally in the range of 50-200). Every day, at 12 o’clock p.m., the price will change from one to the other. It’s important to keep an eye on prices because they fluctuate during the week in a variety of ways.

Turnips, of course, take up a lot of room and can’t be kept in the freezer. When it comes to storing turnips until the market improves, our Pockets Inventory Upgrade Guide can help (or, you know, you could just throw them randomly in spots on the ground, whatever works).

The Turnip Exchange

Crowdsourcing huge rewards on this volatile market is quick and easy for individuals who prefer not to take financial risks and aren’t scared to go global with their avarice.

The Turnip Exchange was developed by Warp World and allows users to trade turnips (and other things) between islands around the world. It makes it easier for visitors to identify islands with higher or cheaper daily turnip prices, depending on whether they’re selling or purchasing.

Find islands where Timmy & Tommy might buy your turnips for a higher price on that day, as well as the ability to:

  • Taking a look at the islands page, which displays the 12 most recent islands to be constructed
  • Check out the #turnip-exchange-live channel on the Discord server.
  • Find the hashtag #turnipcode on Twitter, where users will share their prices and Turnip Codes with one other.
  • It doesn’t matter if it’s fruit, clothing, furniture, or anything else! For the most part, the island’s rules are left up to its owner, who might post a waiting list for it online. Visitors are treated with respect.
  • Invite people from all around the world to stay with you on your private island. Users can check the queue for your island online using “Turnip Codes,” the Exchange’s version of a Dodo Code, and they will be notified when it is their turn to receive your island’s specific Dodo Code.

How do I visit others’ islands on the Exchange?

Waiting in line and visiting other islands are the following steps:

  1. Use the Islands page, Discord server, or a hashtag on Twitter to find an island you’ve always wanted to visit (see above)
  2. Select “Join” on the queue page for that island, or use their Turnip Code on the Exchange’s main page (if you already know it).
  3. After entering your username, you’ll have a place in the line. avoid losing your place in line if you don’t stay on this page.
  4. Your Dodo Code will be given to you when it’s your turn, and you’ll be able to go to that island by entering it at the airport.

How do I host my own island on the Exchange?

You can host your own island on the Turnip Exchange if you’re a courageous and generous soul:

  1. It’s important to maintain your airport’s Dodo Code active, so make sure to select “online play,” invite “the more the merrier,” and keep your gates open at all times using this code
  2. Entering your Dodo Code on the Host Page
  3. Data entry for your island, such as current turnip prices and the date and time in your island’s hemisphere
  4. Include a brief description as well; this is primarily used to make requests of or lay down regulations for visitors to your island.
  5. Your “Visitor Limit” and “Queue Limit” will be requested, as well as whether or not you want your island to be searchable on the Exchange.
  6. There are two options available after filling out this information: you may choose to keep your island public and wait for others to join the queue, or you may share a Turnip Code with others – including via the Discord server and the #turniccode Twitter hashtag.

What are the rules of the Turnip Exchange?

There are, of course, a few rules that must be adhered to in order for this trade to function properly:

  • Keep an eye on the number of people ahead of you while you’re waiting in line, and aim to input the Dodo Code within a minute of getting it.
  • Upon exiting the island, click “Leave Queue” to exit the island queue. Because if the Dodo Code isn’t given to the next person in line, it can cause delays.
  • Make careful you adhere to any regulations that your host has specified in the description of the event.

If you’re as desperate for cash as Tom Nook is, you might want to give it a try. Users have reported trading millions of Bells worth of turnips. You never know — the Turnip Exchange can lead to more than just monetary gain and material gain. I hope you have a great time selling!

BUYING AND SELLING TURNIPS ON SWITCH, EXPLAINED

You’ll see Daisy Mae, a roving street vendor, in your town square on Sundays. You can buy turnips from Daisy Mae, although the price varies. She may be selling them for 100 Bells one week, and for 150 Bells the next week.

You have unlimited access to Turnips (as long as you have enough money). The goal is to sell the Turnips for more money than you spent for them.

Timmy and Tommy in Nook’s Cranny will inform you the current pricing of Turnips every day (excluding Sunday). The price varies twice a day (between midnight and noon).

As an illustration, imagine you paid Daisy Mae 100 Bells each for 100 Turnips. A $10,000 investment has been made by you. 5,000 Bells in profit if Timmy and Tommy are buying Turnips for 150 Bells each, therefore you can sell your Turnips to them.

These figures can grow to hundreds of thousands of Bells, resulting in some massive paydays.

There’s always the possibility of suffering a substantial loss. You’ll lose money if you buy Turnips for 100 Bells each and the Nook’s Cranny price never rises above 50 Bells. Basically, that’s the way things work.

Turnips should never be saved until the following weekend, under any circumstances. Turnips you bought the week before Daisy Mae’s return will be rotten and worthless. There is nothing worse than losing your entire investment in a terrible Nook’s Cranny pricing.

Turnips can’t be stored in your house’s cellar. If you’re serious about Turnips, you’ll probably need to stockpile them in a room (or rooms).

Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Turnip Guide: How To Buy, Sell, And Find The Best Price

BEST PRICES FOR BUYING AND SELLING TURNIPS

In New Horizons, it’s too early to tell what pricing you should be on the lookout for at this time. When Daisy Mae sells Turnips for less than 100 Bells in previous Animal Crossing games, it’s almost always a good buy, if history is any guide.

Turnip sales are a little trickier. Before, Turnip prices rarely went as high as 800 Bells, a stunning eight times your investment. You might also keep an eye on price trends to determine the best time to sell your stock. Though it isn’t yet known what New Horizons’ highest pricing is. If you want to be on the safe side, aim for a 50% return on your investment.

If you’re trying to market Turnips, you should talk to your friends about it. To buy or sell Turnips, you can go to the town where one of your friends has a good price. In this way, you can reduce your reliance on the high pricing available in your hometown. To avoid ending up with a load of rotten Turnips, make sure you don’t get too greedy.

WHEN TO SELL YOUR TURNIPS

If you’ve invested a lot of money in Turnips, and you want to make a lot of money when you sell them, now is the time to take notes. In fact, if you keep track of all your Turnip prices for a week, you can estimate when the biggest prices will occur because the prices aren’t completely random.

To understand the four different price patterns for turnips: decreasing, random, small spike and big spike, it’s time to learn about them.

It’s an indication that turnip prices are on a declining trend if they begin low and then gradually decline over the course of a week. Typically, pricing will begin at approximately 80 or 90 Bells, but each price update will decrease that by 5 or 10 Bells. We may expect the price to plummet to a new low by Friday.

By Thursday afternoon, if you’ve been watching every price, you’ll know that you’re in a Decreasing Trend and should either sell right away or locate a friend to visit with better prices.

Prices for the Decreasing Trend can be seen in the following week’s data:

85 / 81 on Monday

75/70 on Tuesday.

Week 53 (of 49) for Wednesday

45/40 on Thursday, March 29th.

37/33 on Friday

RANDOM TREND

A pattern can be seen in the Random Trend; nonetheless, the majority of the week will see prices fluctuate between 40 and 200 Bells. As a rule of thumb, if you don’t have any online buddies with better pricing, it’s generally best to sell anytime the price reaches 125 using the Random Trend.

The following is an example of a week’s worth of prices from the Random Trend:

105 / 55 on Monday

67/70 on Tuesday

On Wednesday, the score was 53 to 45.

102 / 85 on Thursday

This is how it looked on Friday: 130/99

SMALL SPIKE TREND

You can start making money right away if you follow the Small Spike Trend. Three moderate-sized price rises in a row match the Decreasing Trend, which is the pattern you’re looking for (20-40 Bells each). After three price hikes, the fourth price will be significantly higher and you should sell at that point.

Prices for the Small Spike Trend would look like this:

On Monday, it was 90 / 85 degrees.

On Tuesday, we had an 81/75 score.

Wednesday – 84% of the total

At 120/192 on Thursday,

One hundred and eighty-eight to eighty-three

LARGE SPIKE TREND

Here’s where the big bucks are made. The Decreasing Trend will set the stage for this pattern, which will culminate in three successive price increases. On the third increase in price, you’ll wish to sell. Keep an eye on the third price to tell this trend apart from the Small Spike Trend. You should consider selling if the price is higher than 225. The Small Spike Trend is still in effect if your reading is still in the mid-to-high 100s.

The Big Spike Trend’s prices would look like this for a sample week:

Monday – 88/78

Tuesday – 63 / 101;

Wednesday – 170 / 325 / 325

Thursday: 180 points out of a possible 102

The score for today is 80 to 60.

Make sure you and your buddies keep an eye on the pricing of anything you buy. The optimal time to sell your Turnips should be obvious.

How to Buy and Sell Turnips

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’ll need Daisy Mae to visit your island in order to purchase Turnips. You must have built the Nook’s Cranny shop in order to do this (you can read more here). Turnips can be purchased from Daisy Mae on Sundays if you’ve done so.

When Should You Sell Your Turnips?

Every Sunday, Daisy Mae sells turnips at a specified price. Turnip prices at Nook’s Cranny will vary on a daily basis, except on Sundays. Think of them as stocks, in that their value fluctuates over the year. Checking in daily and trying to recoup your investment in the Turnips is critical. The price of a Turnip can range anywhere from 35 to 200 Bells, so keep an eye on it every day to make sure you don’t miss out.

How to Check the Price of Turnips

Prices for Turnips can and will fluctuate throughout the day. Ask Timmy about Turnips if you want to know how much they cost. He’ll tell you what the market rate is.

Turnips Can Go Rotten

The most important thing to remember is that Turnips are only good for a week or so after you buy them. If you don’t sell them by then, they’ll go bad and become unusable. Your Bell investment will be a waste at this time. Bells can be made by visiting this page.
